Gliidin' For Love Sugar Gliders

Rescue, Rehabilitation & Education

I used to be a breeder of  12 pairs of captive bred sugar gliders for temperment and health.  Over the years, I have seen a startling trend in the need for homes for adult sugar gliders whose forever homes were not so forever. Because of this:

  • I have neutered all but two of my breeding pairs, keeping those two lineages going strong and breeding soley for the health and temperment of my few joeys.
  • I urge anyone looking to get gliders to please check with the resce groups (I am one) to consider adopting older gliders in need of forever homes. Adopted out males are always neutered and we pride ourselves in finding mates for lone gliders above all else.  We strongly feel that gliders should never be without a cage mate.  Please contact us directly at Glidinforlove@aol.com if you have a lone glider in need.
  • If you know of any gliders that are not in the most desirable situations, or the owners don't want them anymore--no matter what state you are in, we can help!  USGN - The United Sugar Glider Network, in conjunction with other forums on the net have created a project to place as many forever home gliders as possible!

Gliders

It is my goal to educate glider owners and prospective owners about all aspects of a sugar glider's life. I urge anyone who is interested in owning a sugar glider to do as much research as possible BEFORE bringing your glider home. To further help, feel free to Email Me at:Glidinforlove@aol.com

***NEWS*** June 19, 2008***

Recently, there have been a few groups of breeders on the internet trying to tell people not to trust information on the message forums that so many of us use as a source of discussion for sugar gliders, updates on new research, as well as a place to discuss the experiences they may have had with what is considered a group/person of concern. These forums serve the community in information and knowledge. I can stress nothing more than to research, research, research before you buy a sugar glider. It is a lifelong job, keeping up with new research and caring for sugar gliders in the best way possible. The more you know. .the better prepared you are to deal with your sugar gliders' needs.

Our home serves as a rescue "hub" for the Southwest Florida Area at All4gliders.com
